Do you have a new puppy and don't know where to start with what treats they're allowed?
Maybe you would like a gift for a brand new pet parent?
Introducing the Little Luxuries Puppy Hamper
As a new puppy owner myself I understand how overwhelming it can be during the early days of bringing puppy home. Not only to you have to figure out what they can and can't eat, but you have to deal with getting to know them, toilet training and generally figuring out how you're going to raise your new pup.
We all want what’s best for our new family member and it’s so difficult to navigate all the marketing about what you should or shouldn’t be doing. I have discovered that the businesses with the big budgets to make flashy adverts are not always the best choice when it comes to pet nutrition and have a scarily long list of additives in their ingredients. As a rule, I avoid anything which I can’t pronounce or not understand. Also, not everyone you see on TV uses the nicest methods to train dogs!
As an advocate of feeding natural and a supporter of small British businesses, I have chosen some lovely treats for my hamper, one of which and be given to your puppy from 8 weeks of age. As the best way to train your puppy is to do it in a kind way, there is a fantastic puppy training book by Steve Mann which I have personally used whilst training Bertie my Border Collie pup. The easy to read kind training methods are delivered in a humorous way which makes you want to finish the whole book in one sitting. Also included is a Yak chew which was a god send for me when Bertie was teething. They can be popped in the microwave for a few seconds when they get chewed down to make them puff up a bit more making them long lasting.
